Accessibility Statement for Share2Care

This accessibility statement applies to the Share2Care mobile application, which may appear in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store as “Share2Care – WYICB”.

The Share2Care app is delivered and managed by Care Networx Ltd on behalf of NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board.

We are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including unpaid carers, patients, families, and individuals with disabilities or accessibility requirements.

Our Commitment

We want as many people as possible to be able to use the Share2Care app.

This means users should be able to:

  • Zoom in up to 200% without loss of functionality
  • Navigate the app using assistive technologies where supported by their device
  • Use screen readers such as VoiceOver and TalkBack
  • Change device accessibility settings including text size, contrast, and display preferences
  • Access content using clear and simple language where possible
  • Navigate using consistent layouts and controls

We aim to design and maintain the app in line with recognised accessibility standards and NHS digital accessibility guidance.

The Share2Care app aims to conform with the:

  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA
  • Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 where applicable
  • NHS accessibility and inclusive design principles

Accessibility Features

The Share2Care app includes accessibility-focused features such as:

Non-Accessible Content

We know some parts of the app may not yet be fully accessible. For example:

  • Certain dynamic content or notifications may not always be announced correctly by screen readers
  • Some PDFs or attachments uploaded by users may not meet accessibility standards
